Tổng quát về linh kiện lắp ráp điện tử

Linh kiện điện tử đơn thuần chúng ta quen gọi thời còn học tập bao gồm hai nhóm linh kiện thụ động (passive components) và nhóm linh kiện tích cực (active components), linh kiện trong lắp ráp điện tử công nghiệp (từ đây sẽ gọi tắt là linh kiện điện tử) sẽ không chỉ là các thứ trên mà còn bao gồm thêm nhóm linh kiện cơ điện (electromechanical components) bởi một sản phẩm điện tử trong tay người sử dụng luôn có những bản mạch cắm hoàn chỉnh (mounted PCB) được kết giữ bên trong những cơ cấu cơ khí hay chất tổng hợp giúp cho người sử dụng khi vận hành có thể cầm, nắm, tiếp xúc, sờ mó, nhấn, chạm, vuốt hay thậm chí chúng có thể được thiết kế bộ vỏ đặc biệt để chịu va đập, lăn lóc trong môi trường ẩm ướt hoặc ngâm nước, hóa chất (thiết bị ngành khoan, dầu khí...) hay chịu nhiệt độ cao/thấp (thiết bị đo nhiệt độ) và có thể trong môi trường cực kỳ đặc biệt bao gồm tất cả những cái vừa nêu (ví dụ sản phẩm điện tử trong ngành không gian vũ trụ).

Với nghĩa thụ động tức là không tự cung cấp năng lượng mà phụ thuộc vào nguồn khác thì bộ nguồn DC tức pin hay ac-qui (battery/accu) lại có thể xem như là một linh kiện tích cực, nên dưới góc nhìn khác (của một người làm kỹ thuật phân tích mạch) thì linh kiện thụ động là các thứ không làm cho tín hiệu qua nó mạnh hơn mà chỉ làm tiêu hao đi bớt năng lượng nguồn tín hiệu gốc trước đó, thì bộ nguồn DC có thể không còn là linh kiện tích cực nữa. Từ đó sự phân tích mạch tín hiệu nhỏ cho định nghĩa linh kiện tích cực là làm cho tín hiệu AC mạnh lên thêm (ví dụ linh kiện bán dẫn transistor hay IC), điều chỉnh dạng sóng dựa trên sự hỗ trợ của nguồn DC hoặc không (ví dụ mạch nắn AC_DC), ngoại trừ một mạch thụ động đặc biệt tự làm mạnh hơn tín hiệu (nhỏ) AC đó là mạch cộng hưởng (resonant) sử dụng LC được dùng để thu sóng radio

Linh kiện tích cực
Chúng nhờ cậy vào nguồn năng lượng một chiều DC để hoạt động tức là chúng được cấp điện thông qua một số linh kiện không có trong các định nghĩa ở đây (ví dụ dây nối), chúng gồm linh kiện khuyếch đại tín hiệu như transistor, đèn chân không đa cực (vaccum tubes _ valves) và diod đường hầm (tunnel diode).

Linh kiện thụ động

Là những thứ mang, dẫn năng lượng điện cho mạch điện và con đường của tín hiệu AC đi qua, mặc dù chúng có thể tăng/giảm điện áp như dùng biến áp chẳng hạn, nhưng chúng không giúp khuyếch đại sức mạnh tín hiệu, bởi công suất luôn không đổi, chỉ đặc biệt mạch cộng hưởng (LC) là có tăng năng lượng, chúng gồm các loại có hai cực như tụ, trở, cuộn dây và nhiều cực như máy biến áp hoặc linh kiện đặc biệt cảm biến điện trở, điện dung các loại (ma trận cảm ứng của màn hình chạm _ touch screen) thường tích hợp với linh kiện hiển thị (display technologies)

Linh kiện cơ điện 
Là các chi tiết giúp kết gắn, cố định bảng mạch (ốc vít, gá kẹp…), chi tiết thoát nhiệt (heatsink), chi tiết thực thi các vận hành điện bằng các chi tiết có thể di chuyển (moving part) hay dùng để kết nối điện (connectors).


1. Linh kiện tích cực


1.1 Semiconductors

1.1.1 Diodes
Conduct electricity easily in one direction, among more specific behaviors.

· Diode, Rectifier, Bridge rectifier
· Schottky diode, hot carrier diode – super fast diode with lower forward voltage drop
· Zener diode – Passes current in reverse direction to provide a constant voltage reference
· Transient voltage suppression diode (TVS), Unipolar or Bipolar – used to absorb high-voltage spikes
· Varactor, Tuning diode, Varicap, Variable capacitance diode – A diode whose AC capacitance varies according to the DC voltage applied.
· Light-emitting diode (LED) – A diode that emits light
· LASER diode – A semiconductor laser
· Photodiode – Passes current in proportion to incident light
   _ Avalanche photodiode Photodiode with internal gain
   _ Solar Cell, photovoltaic cell, PV array or panel, produces power from light
· DIAC (Diode for Alternating Current), Trigger Diode, SIDAC) – Often used to trigger an SCR
· Constant-current diode
· Peltier cooler – A semiconductor heat pump

1.1.2 Transistor
Transistors were considered the invention of the century that changed electronic circuits forever. A transistor is a semiconductor device used to amplify and switch electronic signals and electrical power.

2. Linh kiện thụ động


2.1 Resistors
Pass current in proportion to voltage (Ohm's law) and oppose current.

    _ Power resistor – larger to safely dissipate heat generated
    _ SIP or DIP resistor network – array of resistors in one package
· Variable resistor
    _ Rheostat – two-terminal variable resistor (often for high power)

Capacitors store and release electrical charge. They are used for filtering power supply lines, tuning resonant circuits, and for blocking DC voltages while passing AC signals, among numerous other uses.

a.     Transducers generate physical effects when driven by an electrical signal, or vice-versa.
b.     Sensors (detectors) are transducers that react to environmental conditions by changing their electrical properties or generating an electrical signal.
c.     The transducers listed here are single electronic components, and are passive. Only the most common ones are listed here.
